AUTHOR AND ILLUSTRATOR BIO
Leo Fortune (they/them) is a trans Minnesotan visual artist whose watercolor marker drawings feature trees with detailed spiral mark-making backgrounds. They are an emerging Young Adult (YA) fantasy author who uses their nature drawings as inspiration and illustrations for their whimsical and educational novels based in a reality where trees can take human form. They received their Masters of Education in Second Languages and Cultures from the University of Minnesota and have taught English and Spanish Language Arts at immersion public schools for 17 years.
